Treating lyme diseas with antibiotics leaves the body with built up toxins and free radicals. Clear them with <a href="http://www.nutri.com"title="Vitamins and Supplements">vitamins and supplements, like vitamin C powder.

The dramatic increase in the number of cases of Lyme disease has caused a lot of panic in the medical community. Traditionally, it is treated with round after round of antibiotics. Some people never fully recover and the disease can be fatal.

Humans get Lyme disease most commonly from tics, but also from mosquitoes, fleas and mites. People suffering from Lyme disease may initially experience fever, headache, and depression, developing a bull’s eye-shaped rash. If a physician identifies this rash as Lyme disease, then treatment is immediately administered. The sooner antibiotics are given, the better your chances.

But, the treatment of Lyme disease with antibiotics is very controversial. Rounds of antibiotics often need to be repeated, sometimes multiple times, and the symptoms of Lyme disease could never go away or get worse. Some people have suffered endless damaging side effects of prolonged antibiotic treatments and still have long-term debilitating symptoms thought to be caused by Lyme disease. Long-term symptoms include arthritis, joint pain, heart problems and autoimmunity.

The Lyme disease microorganism creates a neurotoxin that is very similar to that of Anthrax and Tetanus. They split amino acids in nerve cells disrupting their function by partially blocking the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Low acetylcholine levels are linked to Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, autism, high blood sugar, chronic stress and insulin resistance. If there was a full blockage, paralysis would occur. The organism that causes Lyme disease has been found in the brains of patients with Alzheimer’s disease and those with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

The cause of Lyme disease was discovered, but treatment was very difficult. Like syphilis and a few other hard to treat conditions, Lyme disease has the ability to “hide” and gain protection from the immune system. It actually takes part of your DNA inside of it, presumably to give itself protection against your immune system. Needless to say, normal antibiotic regimens have not been wholly effective in treating Lyme disease.

An effective treatment of Lyme disease would be one that would block access to our nerve cells. The organism that causes Lyme disease is sensitive to certain inhibitors found in medications like Viagra, Levitra and Cialis, which relax blood vessel walls by blocking out certain enzymes, but they have not been tested in the treatment of Lyme disease. The enzymes are also blocked by glycyrrhizic acid, found in licorice root.

Low acetylcholine levels can be treated with <a href="http://www.nutri.com"title="Vitamins and Supplements">vitamins and supplements; namely, vitamin B1, B5, B6, Lysine, Lecithin, S-Adenosylmethionine, and vitamin C . When these vitamins are taken or eaten, they begin a chain reaction of biochemical events that lead to the production of the acetyl group necessary for acetylcholine release. Without enough vitamin C, the body cannot synthesize the necessary components and symptoms will continue to worsen.

In any case of Lyme disease, it is now believed that more than just antibiotics are needed to effectively treat it. Different antibiotics are needed to treat the bacteria in its different stages of development. Your body is left to deal with a build-up of toxins and free radicals that can only be cleared by powerful antioxidants, such as vitamin C. Additionally, the low acetylcholine levels need to be treated to help avoid the direr, long term effects of Lyme disease.

Talk with your doctor about treating Lyme disease with vitamins and supplements. When you <a href="http://nutri.com/index.cfm/category/2/supplements.cfm"title="Buy Supplements">buy supplements, make sure that your doctor and pharmacist know all medications that you are taking to avoid interactions.

Learn to control the conditions that lead to metabolic syndrome using <a href="http://www.nutri.com"title="Vitamins and Supplements">vitamins and supplements. Before you buy supplements, talk to your doctor about your needs.

Metabolic syndrome is a combination of health problems that occur at the same time. They increase your risk of death by heart disease, Type 2 diabetes and stroke. Excess insulin, high LDL cholesterol, and visceral (abdominal) fat accumulation alone increase your risk of metabolic syndrome twenty fold.

Metabolic syndrome exhibits itself in a variety of ways. People with any of these symptoms or conditions are at a dramatically increased risk for metabolic syndrome, heart disease, stroke and Type 2 diabetes; high cholesterol (low HDL cholesterol, high LDL cholesterol, high triglyceride levels), inflammatory components in the blood, high blood pressure, large waist circumference, or elevated fasting glucose levels.

Three or more of these conditions can lead to a grim diagnosis of metabolic syndrome. If you do not have metabolic syndrome, but you do have an increased waist circumference combined with a body mass index that is not considered to be in the healthy range, then you are almost guaranteed to develop metabolic syndrome if you do nothing to reduce your abdominal fat. By making a few changes in your life, you can avoid a plethora of life-threatening, disabling diseases.

The first step is to get your cholesterol levels in check. Triglyceride levels are most important and can be controlled through DHA and EPA Omega-3 supplementation. Fish oils and other supplements that get triglyceride levels under control can actually make your cholesterol readings more accurate and help turn harmful triglycerides into less harmful LDL.

LDL cholesterol proteins can harden and stick to arterial walls in your heart and arteries, making damage harder to reverse. Vitamin C actually prevents your LDL cholesterol from oxidizing and becoming “sticky”. Vitamin C combined with soluble fiber helps your liver to function properly and dispose of excess LDL cholesterol. Niacin can help raise HDL cholesterol levels and get them back to where they should be. Vitamins C and E help the cells to use sugar while helping the body properly respond to insulin.

Type 2 diabetes is totally preventable and almost always curable. However, it remains in our nation’s top 10 killer conditions list securely at number 6. This is only measuring deaths caused by Type 2 diabetes. It doesn’t take into account all of the amputations, anxiety, nerve damage, blindness, kidney disease, impotence and infections that it causes. Type 2 diabetes used to be known as “adult onset diabetes” until our children started getting it, too. Type 2 diabetes is caused by the overconsumption of carbohydrates combined with a lack of exercise. Exercise combined with a healthier diet makes blood sugar manageable. There is no way around it, diet and exercise is the only way to get blood sugar levels in check.

If you have metabolic syndrome, cells become damaged and resistant to insulin. Blood sugar gets out of control and the body is depleted of minerals every time you have a soda or eat refined flours or sugars. You must replace the minerals lost to start losing weight and healing your body. Small, high protein meals, six times per day are recommended.

All diabetics and people at risk for metabolic syndrome will constantly flush vitamins and minerals from their bodies. Chromium is the main mineral lost that is needed to regulate blood sugar. Your daily requirement for vitamins, minerals and antioxidants is greatly increased, especially if frequent urination is one of your symptoms. Talk to your doctor about safely managing your metabolic risk factors with <a href="http://www.nutri.com"title="Vitamins and Supplements">vitamins and supplements before you <a href="http://nutri.com/index.cfm/category/2/supplements.cfm"title="Buy Supplements">buy supplements.
